Bill has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC), a rare subtype of pancreatic cancer. It has progressed rapidly and metastasized. There is no cure for advanced pancreatic cancer, and there have been over 50 randomized phase 3 clinical drug trials that have failed. Very little is known about this rare subtype of pancreatic cancer because it occurs in only 2-3% of patients. There have been no clinical trials and the etiology is unknown. This medical benevolence fund is raising money for exploratory medical treatments for pancreatic cancer inside and outside of the US that are not covered by Medicare.
